I'm Catherine
Cortes.
I'm a Filipino Virtual Assistant from Cavite, Philippines. I offer online freelance services to individuals and businesses which include general virtual assistant tasks such as data entry, research, calendar and email management, database and file management, and customer service, simple graphic design, video editing, basic social media management and Amazon online arbitrage product sourcing.
I began freelancing last year as more and more businesses shifted from a physical office to a virtual one. Outsourcing provides cheaper solutions for clients and gives them more freedom to choose freelance talents worldwide. As a result, working from home is an option for a single parent like myself.
I am a BS in Computer Science graduate, and I have worked in customer service for several years, but I have always been longing to work in the design field or work as a virtual assistant. I had the opportunity to study abroad for a short period of time and to take a second course in digital media arts at MCCC in New Jersey. But unfortunately, I wasn't blessed to finish the course due to some financial issues.
I completed a number of online freelance courses in general virtual assistant or administrative tasks, graphic design, video editing, social media management, virtual assistance, and Amazon product research to improve my skills and open up more opportunities for myself and build my online portfolio.
